Sticky Fingers provides care for up to 26 children from two years until school age.

We are open 51 weeks a year from 8.00am to 6:00 pm (We are closed on Bank Holidays)

 

MEALTIMES

 

Lunch and tea  and are provided and freshly prepared in our well equipped kitchen. Our menus are nutritious and varied and cater for vegetarians and individual children’s requirements. Weekly menus are displayed on our notice board. Children have access to their own bottles of water throughout the day and snacks of fruit and milk are also provided.

Mealtimes are relaxed, social times. Staff eat with their small group of children and use the opportunity to encourage conversation and  further learning.

Our curriculum encourages children to learn about making healthy choices through a rage of activities.

Mealtimes are a very social affair. Staff use these really well to promote an interest in a healthy lifestyle and to build children's self-esteem. For example, everyone sits together to enjoy their lunch and staff and children use the time to exchange news and talk about their day.  OFSTED 2017
